Chris is a late-diagnosed Autistic and ADHD (AuDHD) person with lived experience of mental health and eating disorder recovery. He is a provisional psychologist, currently completing a Master of Clinical Psychology at Queensland University of Technology. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours I) in Psychology from The University of Queensland, a Graduate Certificate in Autism Studies from Griffith University. Chris’s professional background spans across academic, NGOs, private, and public health settings. His current work includes roles as an autism researcher at Griffith University, a substance use researcher at The University of Queensland, a mental health peer worker at Queensland Health, and serving on EDNA’s board as well as the Youth Advisory Board at Born This Way Foundation. Chris hopes to become a psychologist and neurodiversity academic, contributing to the field as a trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming therapist, assessor, researcher, and advocate. Outside of work, Chris loves musicals, cats, and spending time with friends - usually through parallel play, mutual infodumping, and pebbling memes to one another.
