Who we are
We are a not-for-profit organization led by neurodivergent individuals with lived or living experience of an eating disorder. Our board members represent a range of neurodivergent identities—including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, synesthesia, giftedness, and dyscalculia—ensuring true lived experience representation in advocacy, research, and support. At Eating Disorders Neurodiversity Australia, we also embrace intersectionality, recognizing that eating disorders may affect people differently across different ethnicities, cultures, gender identities, and body sizes.
We are committed to

Advocating for systemic change to ensure that the voices of neurodivergent people with eating disorders are respected and listened to

Promoting participatory and co-design practices in relation to eating disorder research and care to ensure the support needs of neurodivergent people are adequately taken into consideration

Why neurodivergent-led advocacy matters
Neurodivergent people are at an elevated risk of developing eating disorders, yet many face tremendous difficulties accessing individualized support that is tailored to their unique, often intersectional, needs
What we do

Raise awareness about the unique and intersectional support needs of neurodivergent individuals
